The Pink Demon

AkheilosTitle_B.png

The legendary sea-demon of Greek Mythology Akheilos will soon leave the waters and take flight. The theme of this project is an homage to California State University's new mascot, Elbee. Akheilos is currently under development-- and will be our greatest project thus far

OVERVIEW

WHY PINK?

The #PinkRocketProject is a tradition passed down to BLT by its predecessors. The idea is to show the future generation of engineers that women can be in STEM related fields just as much as men. Our outreach program is also tasked with the same objective while encouraging local high school students to participate in rocketry.

WHAT'S ITS CURRENT STATUS?

Currently, Akheilos is in its final stages of design. Once the design is finalized and we regain access to the rocket lab at California State University, Long Beach, Akheilos will begin fabrication. Our team is always open to sponsorship opportunities to help us prepare Akheilos for its launch at the end of the school year.

WHO'S WORKING ON AKHEILOS?

With Daniel Morgan (Chief Engineer) and Rohin Pathak (Project Manager) at the helm of the project, the team is working hard at bringing Akheilos to life.
